This is a list of 2022 holiday events as announced by Downtown Summerlin.

Santa’s Mailbox – Now through December 22nd – Macy’s Promenade

Supporting Goodie Two Shoes Foundation. DTS invites all kids (naughty and nice!) to stop by Santa’s Chalet and drop a letter in Santa’s mailbox to the big guy himself at the north pole! Make sure you make your list and check it twice including a return address for a personalized letter back from Santa himself. Letters are accepted through December 22. For every letter from a child received, The Howard Hughes Corporation and Downtown Summerlin will donate $1 to Goodie Two Shoes Foundation up to $2,500. The Goodie Two Shoes Foundation provides disadvantaged children and children in crisis with new shoes and socks, as well as other items deemed essential for good health and positive development.

The Rock Rink Now through January 16th – The Lawn at DTS

Downtown Summerlin is pleased to announce the return of Rock Rink presented by Live Nation! – the signature 8,000 square foot real-ice skating rink located near the Pavilion at The Lawn. Skate under the stars set to the backdrop of festive holiday music and an impressive 40-foot glittering holiday tree overlooking the rink.  Skate rentals start at $16, and all ages are welcome. Stay warm with Sterling’s Hot Cocoa offering a variety of signature holiday beverages sure to please. Don’t forget to ride the festive holiday train that runs through January 16 circling the ice-skating rink and holiday tree. Rides are $5.00 per adult and child. Due to rink capacity requirements, skate time is limited to 75-minutes. Time starts when you get your skates and your end-time will be marked on your wristband. Thank you for your cooperation. The Giving Machine – Now through January 1st – The Promenade at DTS

Imagine swiping your credit card at a vending machine but instead of buying a candy bar you’re buying winter clothes for a refugee in a third world country. Or a year of dental care, or nursing services for a disabled adult, or a pair of shoes for a child in Southern Nevada. With the #LightTheWorld Giving Machines, that’s exactly what happens. The Giving Machines provide a way for people to quickly and easily help those in need and make the Christmas season a little more meaningful for themselves – and countless others.

Santa’s Chalet – Now through December 24th – Macy’s

The big guy himself, Santa Claus arrives to Downtown Summerlin on Wednesday, November 16th and makes his home at his Winter Wonderland Chalet located in the Macy’s Promenade through December 24th. Meet Santa, share your wish list and experience the magic of the holiday season. Through December 9, Early Bird photo packages start at $35. December 10 – December 24, photo packages start at $42.99.
RESERVATIONS REQUIRED. Santa offers photos with pets every Tuesdays through December 20th between 4 and 8 PM.

Lights for Flights – Now through December 31st

Miracle Flights, a national nonprofit based in Las Vegas that provides free air transportation to children and adults who need help reaching specialty medical care not available in their home communities, announces the return of “Lights for Flights Powered by Sol-Up” at Downtown Summerlin® for the 2022 holiday season.  The interactive holiday family photo opportunity includes six oversized illuminated words – LOVE, JOY, HOPE, PEACE, SOAR and MIRACLE – that infuse the mission of Miracle Flights, light up the holiday season and provide an opportunity for our community to come together.  

Holiday Parade – Dec 16th and 17th – Park Centre Drive

Celebrate the holiday season in a BIG way every Friday and Saturday as Downtown Summerlin lights ups the streets with the return of the annual holiday parade featuring festive floats inspired by your favorite holiday movies, dancers and characters, snow and of course the big guy himself, Santa! All shows are free and open to the general public.

Hanukkah Celebration – Park Centre Drive – December 21st at 4PM

Join Downtown Summerlin and Jewish Nevada of Nevada in celebration of Hanukkah! Enjoy a festive family-friendly event featuring a menorah lighting, kids’ activities, entertainment and more! Throughout the entire duration of Hanukkah guests are invited to visit the lighted menorah located at The Dining Arroyo.
